I am writing to express deep concern regarding the illegal abduction and continued detention of [NAME OF DETAINEE(S)], a citizen of [COUNTRY NAME], who is currently being held in Israel following the interception of the Freedom Flotilla, the Madleen, in international waters on Monday, 9 June 2025.

The Freedom Flotilla was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza when it was unlawfully intercepted and boarded by Israeli forces. The crew was forcibly taken and transferred across international borders to Israel, despite never entering, nor attempting to enter, the country — a clear violation constituting a crime under international law. 

Their charge of “illegally entering Israel” is baseless and unjust. The detainment of [NAME(S)] constitutes a political abduction and an egregious breach of their human rights.

I urge you to:

1. Demand and ensure the immediate release of [NAME OF DETAINEE(S)] and the other crew members.
2. Provide consular access and support without delay.
3. Publicly condemn this illegal act of abduction and call for accountability under international law.
