Dear [Elected Official’s Name],

I am urgently writing to express my horror as Israel has killed or injured over 1,100 starving Palestinians at US-Israel-run ‘aid’ centres, since they launched on May 27th.

Experienced humanitarian agencies warned these ‘aid distribution’ hubs would become death traps. That’s exactly what happened. Israel has turned them into industrial-scale killing fields. Daily videos show Israeli forces opening fire on Palestinians attempting to obtain aid.

“Every day since GHF (Gaza Humanitarian Foundation) centres opened, Palestinians gather desperately in crowds, waiting for food. Then Israeli snipers start firing. Drones hover overhead. Tanks begin rolling toward civilians holding nothing but containers.” — Hind Khoudary, Journalist.

Israel is also arming gangs inside Gaza — using them alongside foreign mercenaries to destabilise aid sites, cause chaos, and then shift the blame onto Palestinians themselves.

On June 8th, the Israeli military proudly claimed that the GHF had distributed over 1 million meals, but Gaza is home to more than 2.2 million people. That’s not even half a meal per person in 11 days. Gaza is being starved to death.

Aid has become a weapon. Food is used as bait. And every meal handed out comes with the risk of being shot, bombed, or crushed in chaos. Israel has turned “humanitarian relief” into a pretext for continued ethnic cleansing and genocide. 

These GHF “aid” centres must be shut down and replaced by independent, civilian-led humanitarian efforts grounded in international law, not managed by military forces or foreign mercenaries.

You have an obligation under international to prevent genocide. You must take action. I call on you to ensure the government:

• ⁠Imposes full, comprehensive sanctions on the designated apartheid state of Israel
• Enforce a complete two-way trade embargo — ending all import and export activity with Israel.
• Immediately suspend all arms sales and intelligence cooperation.
• Ensure the unimpeded access of aid and humanitarian organisations, and the suspension of GHF’s deadly “aid” centres.

Failure to act is complicity. Words are not actions. Sanctions now.
